Cycling Yogis is an initiative comprising of people from various walks of life with a common passion for cycling and respect towards heritage. Since our inception in the year 2012, we have been organising Heritage rides, publishing books on the city of Madras, and curate Vintage Bicycles Exhibition.
The three day tour was held between 11th - 16th September. Thirty Seven Riders participated in the tour that was connecting both Balinise & Indian heritage. 10 women participated in the ride, along with a 15 years old boy and 75 years old gentleman.
The three day ride started from Munggu Beach , covering Jatiluwih, and Ubud regions of Bali. It included Climb, Downhill, and Off Road rides. The Tour also included a visit to Mount Batur, which is an volcano in Indonesia.
The three days Tour of Courtallam Ride was flagged off by Thiru. Kamal Kishor IAS, District Collector Tenkasi. About fourty riders participated in the ride covering both natural and built heritage of the region. First day ride was to Pottalpudur Dargah and Agasthiyar Falls. The Second day ride was from Courtallam to Srivilliputtur. And on the final day it was a local loop ride towards Mekkarai direction. The ride concluded with Medal Distribution.

Cycling Yogi's Third International Cycling Tour this year was to Siem Reap , Cambodia. Thirty Six riders participated in the ride which focused on Cambodia and Tamil Nadu historical connection. Angkor Wat, Bayon, Ta Prohm and Angkor Thom were the places covered on the first day. The second day ride was to Bantey Srei to explore the shared heritage, also called the Citadel of Women the Shiva Temple consists of Karaikal Ammaiyar Panel and other Hindu deities. On the third day it was a ride to Tonle Sap Lake which houses Floating Village, riders also got the glimpse of Apsara Dance Performance that evening at Siem Reap. The ride culminated with a bus tour to Khulen Valley 1000 Lingas on the fourth day.
The Ponniyin Selvan Trail Ride focused on cities and towns associated with Kalki's magnum opus 'Ponniyin Selvan' in Sri Lanka. The ride started at Anuradhapura and covered Sigriya, Dumbula, Giritale and Polanarwa.The four days ride came to a conclusion at the Shiva Temple built by King Raja Raja Chola in Polanarwa
Twenty five riders rode across both off-road and tarmac roads covering the scenic beauty of central parts of Sri Lanka. The ride also covered visits to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in this region. Thanks to the support from Cycle Tour Sri Lanka, ANTAL and Probikers OMR
Cycling Yogis was awarded the "Outstanding Contribution to Promotion of Tourism Award" by Department of Tourism, Govt of Tamilnadu on 27th September at the Tamilnadu Tourism Award event held in Kalaivanar Arangam. The award was presented by Honorable Tourism Minister Dr. Mathiventhan in the presence of Dr. Chandramohan B, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government, Department of Tourism, Culture, and Religious Endowments and Thiru. Sandeep Nanduri IAS Director of Tourism and MD TTDC. Indeed a red letter day to us at Cycling Yogis. And heartfelt thanks for such wonderful recognition by Tamilnadu Tourism.
